At Cat® phones, we are constantly improving efficiency and release regular software updates to your device. During the lifetime of your Cat phone, you will also receive an Android™ operating system update.
Note: When new Cat software/firmware updates are available, push update notifications are sent out to all Cat phones.
Cat Software Update
Step 1: Check your phone's current software
1. Open Settings.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap About phone.
3. Your operating system Build number will be displayed, indicating your current Cat software version.
Step 2. Update your phone's software
1. Open Settings.
2. Tap > About phone > System update.
3. Tap Check for update. If your phone is up to date, Your system is up to date will be displayed.
4. If an update is available, update the software by following the on-screen steps.
Important: Please ensure that your device is connected to WiFi and plugged into a charger. Often, the phone's battery needs to be at least 50% in order to update.
Android Software Update
Step 1: Check your phone's current Android version

3. Your Android version number will be displayed.
Step 2. Update your phone's software

2. Tap About phone > System update.
